West Ham Prepare £15m Bid for Andy Carroll

    Hammers want Liverpool’s Striker!

West Ham set to launch an ambitious bid for England striker Andy Carroll.
Sam Allardyce wants to make a signing ahead of his club’s return to the Barclays Premier League and the club’s owners are prepared to break their budget for Carroll.

West Ham is proposing a loan with a view to buying Carroll for around £15million.

West Ham have been linked with some very ambitious signings this summer, with the likes of former Real Madrid veteran Guti and Serie A based pair Dejan Stankovic & Alessandro Del Piero to name just three, but efforts to land Liverpool striker Andy Carroll are surely based in fantasy land.

Whilst it may well prove plausible that Brendan Rodgers would consider sending the 23 year old striker out on loan, the Anfield boss admitting as much in a recent interview, a permanent move away from the Merseyside club seems unlikely and if he were sold it seems unlikely that the England international would move to the newly promoted side.

There is no denying that the £35m signing from Newcastle United has struggled to make an impact but the big forward arguably played his best football in the last few weeks of last term and then did fairly well on England duty at the Euro 2012 finals, so it’s a little odd for all these stories to be circulating this summer.

Rodgers appears keen to beef up his attack as he currently only has Carroll, Uruguayan Luis Suarez and veteran Craig Bellamy to depend on. The new Liverpool boss has been linked with interest in Roma’s Fabio Borini and Fulham attacker Clint Dempsey.
